Kindred was founded by Kristina Lynch — a working mom who knows firsthand how hard it is to find reliable, high-quality childcare. After struggling to find a nanny for her own son and growing frustrated with Facebook groups, outdated agencies, and a market full of high markups and low accountability, she decided to build something better.
With a background in software product development, Kristina set out to create a tech-forward, user-friendly platform wrapped in a genuinely elevated, community-rooted experience — one that treats nannies as valued professionals and families as partners in care.
